..since my last journal entry. 3 years, 6 months and 14 days since my last piece of art.

Its really been three and a half year since I drew something? Where did the time go?

Well, I decided I want to get back to doing some more creative stuff. So what did I do? I bought some motivation:

Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro 700t
A Windows 8 Tablet with an 11.6" 1080P screen, Intel I-5 CPU, and Wacom digitizer.

The hope is that it will allow me to work on stuff away from my desk, such as in the living room while watching TV, or at friends/family. I've been taking it to work and messing with it on my lunch break. So, other than being an awesome little toy, I'm really hoping it will allow my to be more productive. It runs the two programs I want/need most - Photoshop and Excel - pretty well.  Though really, I think I bought it so I wouldn't have to clean my bedroom just us my computer. Its very discouraging to want to do art when your work station is buried...

And so, here I am back at dA. Unfortunately most of the people I knew and knew well are inactive. After looking around here for a while I went over to the Anothartist forum (where quite a few ex-MangaRevolution members hung out) and it was really dead, too. I actually got quite depressed. It didn't seem like it was that long ago. What have I been doing this entire time? Nothing, that's what...

Now for the really tough part: remembering how to do art... Its been so long that I don't really know what I am doing in Photoshop anymore. I'm pretty much going to have to re-learn a lot and it will probably be a while before I post any artwork.

As extra motivation I also purchased some web hosting and put my website back up. www.lillejordart.com its exactly the same as the day MangaRevolution went offline. MR was my web host and when augustc4 took it offline my site went off line as well. I'm hoping this will give me motivation to learn web design again.

So I don't really have anything going on, just wanted to post this for for friends XD

Some people at the anothartist forum were drawing pokemon.

This my pokemon. I call him ben (aka. augustc4)

It will be funny to some. Others won't understand. S'all good though.

Oh, I'm offically tired of my lame job and am currently looking for a new one. Thats an update I guess.

I don't know why I keep letting this happen...

anyway, I decided to save my holiday commission money rather than spend it on something I don't really need. No HDTV :(

Deviously unproductive...

Just an update of sorts I guess. I finished my last requirement for graduation. I just need to get the credits transferred to the big U and do the final paperwork. I'm really getting annoyed with my current job and am ready to leave. All my friends there are planning on leaving with in the next couple of months as well. I think they will be glad when we are all gone. They don't want people who know what they are doing and can think for themselves.

Anyway, I took four days off for new years. Hung out with my brother, watched football and played a lot of Oblivion. Maybe too much Oblivion. Too bad I had to start from the beginning 'cause my bothers 360 crashed a while back.

HDTV here I come! The one good thing about working at a POS company like Macy's (other than it being a pretty easy job) is the December commission check. I'll get an extra $1600 (post taxes!) on my next pay check. I found a pretty nice 46" DLP projection HDTV at a place by my brother's for $699. I'd love a flat panel, but I'm being realistic here. Also that leaves me enough to maybe get a 360 and a little while later add the HDDVD drive. My brother got one for x-mas and it looks so effin sweet on his HDTV.

Oh, the book I'm reading is really good too. It's about a Hasidic Jewish boy whose gift for art clashes with his Hasidic life.  A Jewish guy at work said all artists should read it and lent it to me. I'm not quite half way through it yet but I highly recommend it.

Nothing new on the art front. I have no excuses so I should be doing something new soon. Right now I'm trying to get some tutorials in order for mangarevolution.com. They won't be digital painting tutorials though. There are plenty of those already.

An other day another..um, lack of a dollar...

Why is my "mood" mad? That is what I would like to know :shakefist:
I didn't set it there. It was mad by defult and I can't find the option to not have a mood. anyway....

I decided I need a new journal. I've grown somewhat acustom to the new dA I guess so the old jurnal just isn't relevent anymore.

So, I started class last week. I'm only taking one class. La es español. Oh the joy....

So hopefully I will have some new stuff up some time soon. but don't hold your beathe.
